The role You design scroll-stopping YouTube thumbnails that drive clicks, views. We work in mortgage, finance, and real estate, our thumbnails lean hyper-realistic: real locations, real buildings, real people. That takes technical skill and a real grasp of realism, while still earning the click. We currently have 5 other designers on the team, they have each been designing thumbnails for years and are talented, we just need another hire to help with capacity. Responsibilities • Design 10 to 20 thumbnails a week (40 to 80 a month) with a 24 to 48 hour turnaround. If you can do more we will pay you more. • Build and maintain a visual branding system for each client, and follow their brand style guides. • Create A/B test variations and iterate quickly based on click-through rate. • QC your own work before you submit. • Keep files and assets organized so anyone on the team can find them. • Work with editors, writers, and strategists to help each channel grow by 100 to 1,000 subscribers a month. • Attend team meetings as a design team Requirements • 2+ years of graphic design experience, with a portfolio of YouTube thumbnails. No portfolio, no review. • Strong proficiency in Photoshop, plus Illustrator, Figma, or similar. • You understand YouTube, click-through rate, and why people click. • Strong time management across multiple clients and deadlines. • Data-driven and detail-oriented, with strong quality control. • Real estate or professional services design experience is a plus. • You experiment with new AI tools, workflows, and approaches without being asked.
